MPA Recruitment Armagh are currently hiring Hospital Porters on behalf of our Public Sector Client based in the Newry Area.

Shifts Include:

• 07.00AM - 3.00PM
• 08.00AM - 4.00PM
• 09.00AM - 5.00PM
• 12.00PM - 8.00PM
• 3.00PM - 11.00PM
• 11.00PM - 7.00AM
• Monday through to Sunday -

Duties

• Transferring patients between various areas of the hospital
• Ensuring the safe movement of medical equipment
• Transporting clinical waste and hazardous materials
• Distributing & franking of mail
• Delivery of patient notes
• Conveying bodies to the mortuary

It is important to remember that in addition to these duties, a Hospital Porter is often a source of companionship to a frightened or distressed patient. They are good listeners who can offer sympathy and empathy. They are a reliable and dependable member of the healthcare team, fulfilling important and much needed duties throughout the hospital.

As a Hospital Porter you do not need any specific qualifications or experience, it is more important that you enjoy working with people, helping those in need and providing an exceptional service at all times.
