Job summary

A large NHS hospital trust in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking an enthusiastic Specialist Biomedical Scientist with HCPC registration. In this full-time role, you will work in the Bacteriology department and provide diagnostic services to local hospitals and clinics. The successful candidate will have 2+ years of bacteriology experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications

  • HCPC registered Specialist BMS with a positive attitude to change.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-registration experience in a busy bacteriology laboratory.
  • Experience working with complex, specialist equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team of virology and bacteriology staff.
  • Provide laboratory services for GPs and community health providers.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory SOPs and contribute to their implementation.
