A premium hospitality collective is seeking an operational support staff member in the City of Westminster, UK. This role involves managing food and supply logistics, ensuring hygiene compliance, and conducting stock management. The ideal candidate should be proactive in maintaining cleanliness and adhering to health standards to support the front-of-house team effectively. Offering a casual contract at up to £14.80 per hour, this position is essential for smooth operations within a dynamic catering environment.
This job is all about keeping the catering operation running smoothly behind the scenes whilst keeping costs under control. You'll need to know how all parts of the business work so you can help out wherever needed, make things better, and sort out any problems that come up. Your main job involves getting food, drinks, and supplies to where they need to go on time. This means keeping tea points stocked up with cups, coffee, tea, milk, and other bits and pieces, handling deliveries, managing stock properly, and making sure nothing runs out. You'll also need to do weekly stock counts, help with monthly checks, keep kitchens and storage areas clean and tidy, make sure rubbish goes in the right bins, and look after equipment properly. The role includes managing cleaning supplies, attending safety meetings, following health and safety rules, reporting any accidents, and keeping up with food hygiene standards including all the paperwork that goes with it. Essentially, you're the person who makes sure everything works properly so the front‑of‑house team can do their job well.
