This role involves pioneering Context Engineering practices and integrating them into Enterprise Design Thinking methodologies. This position offers a daily rate of £400-450 and requires onsite presence in London 1-2 days every two weeks.

Back End Developer

Duration: until 12/10/2026
Rate: £400-450 per day - umbrella only
Location: London, 1-2 days every 2 weeks.

As a Context Engineer in our Development team, you'll collaborate closely with the Dev Lead to pioneer and apply “Context Engineering” – the art and science of curating high-quality AI contexts for large-scale software projects. You'll help deliver on our current initiatives while integrating this practice into Enterprise Design Thinking methodologies, ensuring AI‑assisted workflows enhance ideation, empathy mapping, and iterative prototyping across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Strong foundation in software development with C# and TypeScript.
  • Experience with AI/LLM concepts (e.g., prompt engineering, RAG).
  • Analytical mindset for assessing sufficiency (relevance, completeness, freshness) and mitigating risks like hallucinations.
  • Focus on Clean Architecture and Clean Code principles.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Design Thinking or Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of code quality tools (e.g., linters) and non‑functional standards (e.g., WCAG 2.2, OWASP).
  • Experience with AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
  • Excellent collaboration skills for multidisciplinary teams.
