A leading health and social care provider in the UK is seeking an occupational therapist to join their community mental health service in Leatherhead. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality therapy interventions both individually and within groups, while also providing supervision to junior staff. A valid driving licence is required, and the role involves working across various community health services. An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic Occupational Therapy team in Leatherhead. We offer innovative ways of delivering occupational therapy in Community Mental Health Recovery Services. The post will involve both individual and group occupational therapy interventions, following a clear care pathway. These interventions include:
We use Model of Human Occupation to guide all assessments and interventions and are focused on embedding occupational science and neuroscience into practice. The occupational therapy leadership team commits to extensive, co‑ordinated CPD programmes including robust supervision, care group meetings, Trust‑wide and core competence training, and an annual conference.
This exciting opportunity is offered within our community mental health service and will be based primarily in Epsom. The postholder may be expected to work within all surrounding community services as needed.
