Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced AWS Enterprise Architect to remotely deliver innovative cloud services across the UK. This full-time role offers a salary of £85K plus a 5% bonus. Applicants must have active SC clearance and be sole UK nationals. You will act as a technical authority in cloud architecture while supporting junior engineers and collaborating with stakeholders on cloud-native solutions.

AWS Enterprise Architect

UK Wide - Remote, with occasional travel to end client

Due to the nature of the end client, this role requires ACTIVE SC CLEARANCE, and we can only offer the position to SOLE UK NATIONALS.

What You'll Do

As an Enterprise Architect, you will:

• Act as the technical authority for cloud architecture and infrastructure governance.
• Design, review, and evolve cloud-native and hybrid architectures.
• Work closely with platform engineering and infrastructure teams to ensure architectural alignment.
• Stay hands-on with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), deployments, and environment configuration.
• Support and mentor junior engineers.
• Build strong relationships with both clients and internal teams.
• Act as the technical governance lead rather than a people manager

What We're Looking For

We'd love to hear from you if you bring:

• Experience in Enterprise Architecture, particularly with AWS-based solutions.
• A strong background in automation and delivery through code.
• Hands-on experience with tools and technologies such as AWS, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, GitHub.
• Knowledge of managed services and post-implementation support.
• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and Agile delivery.
• A background in infrastructure and networking (a plus).
• Comfortable with critical national infrastructure and incident response.
