A community support organization in England is seeking dedicated volunteers to raise awareness about dementia within local communities. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work well with others and independently, and a passion for community engagement. Volunteers will manage information stands at local events and engage with the public to ensure access to dementia support services. Flexible scheduling is available to accommodate volunteers' availability.
Support your local community by helping to ensure that people who are worried about or affected by dementia are aware of the support and advice services offered. You will be local enough to travel to and around the following postcodes: SE14, BR1, SE13, SE23, SE26, SE4, SE14, SE8, SE6, SE12.
You’ll support local events, hold information stands, and display leaflets in venues highly visible in your community, such as libraries and GP surgeries. You’ll keep information up to date and accurate, establish connections with local organisations and community groups, and help achieve widespread awareness of the support we offer. As a representative of Alzheimer’s Society, branded clothing will be provided, and you may be included in event pictures to showcase the Society’s work in local media.

This is a flexible volunteer role which is carried out within your local area on various days and times to suit your availability.
