AV Team Lead Central London (Onsite)

Are you an experienced onsite AV professional ready to step into a leadership role Rafferty Resourcing is recruiting for an AV Team Lead to oversee a high-performing onsite Audio Visual operation for a prestigious corporate environment in Central London.

The Role

As the AV Team Lead you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of onsite AV support ensuring seamless operation of meeting spaces events and video conferencing systems. Youll lead mentor and coordinate a team of technicians while acting as the key onsite contact for the client. This position blends hands-on technical expertise with team leadership service excellence and client relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mentor and support a team of onsite AV technicians
• Manage daily operations to ensure full coverage across rotating shifts
• Act as the primary onsite contact for all AV services requests and escalations
• Oversee the setup and smooth running of meetings and corporate events
• Ensure service delivery aligns with SLAs KPIs and client expectations
• Perform quality checks equipment audits and preventative maintenance
• Work closely with IT facilities and external vendors on escalations and upgrades
• Support new technology rollouts and provide user training where required
• Ensure compliance with all onsite health safety and security procedures
• Coordinate staff rotas holiday cover and shift patterns

Shift Pattern

The AV team operates a rotating weekly shift pattern.

Skills & Experience

• Strong technical expertise across AV & VC systems (Teams Rooms Yealink Poly Crestron QSC etc.)
• Proven experience supervising or leading a small AV team
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organisational ability with a proactive solutions-driven mindset
• Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple priorities
• Knowledge of AV-over-IP or basic networking principles (advantageous)
• Professional approachable and confident in a corporate environment

AVIXA CTS / CTS-I certification (highly desirable)
