Job summary

A global organisation is seeking an Automation Test Lead to spearhead a business-critical transformation in London. The role requires a hands-on approach to automation, leadership of junior QA analysts, and stakeholder engagement. Ideal candidates will have strong expertise with Selenium in Python and CI/CD pipelines, as well as leadership experience in the QA field. This position offers a competitive rate, and you will work three days per week in London.

Automation Test Lead – £800 to £900 Inside IR35 – London (3 days per week)

La Fosse have partnered with a global organisation to support a high-profile, business-critical transformation programme. Our client is looking for an experienced Test Automation Lead to join a growing delivery team.

This is a multi-dimensional role combining leadership, hands‑on automation, and strong stakeholder engagement — including delivering demos and working closely with senior business and digital teams.

You’ll be responsible for shaping and executing the automation strategy across two core applications (with scope to expand into additional projects).

• Lead and mentor a team of junior QA analysts (manual testers)
• Define and drive the automation roadmap to improve overall test coverage
• Work closely with Data & Digital stakeholders to understand business objectives
• Deliver demos and communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences
• Remain hands‑on with automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines

️ Must‑Have Skills

• Proven leadership experience within QA / Test Automation
• Strong experience defining and executing automation strategy
• Hands‑on automation using Python + Selenium (preferred) or C# + Selenium
• CI/CD and DevOps integration experience
• Experience testing within Salesforce (preferred but not essential)

Desirable:

• Experience working within Salesforce modules or similar SaaS platforms
• Experience testing other SaaS applications
• Exposure to Playwright
