Overview

As we work to transform and optimize Mars, a new program has been mobilized by the Mars leadership team. The program focuses on the design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA across Segments (Petcare, Corporate, Snacking & Food). It aims to achieve major process simplification and harmonization as part of the digital transformation. The program covers eight megaprocess areas: Finance, Source to Pay, Plan to Fulfill, Lead to Cash, Governance, Engage to Consume, Idea to Market, and Recruit to Retire. A Technology and Transformation Team will deliver the technical foundations and operational readiness of the S/4HANA Transformation. Within this Team, the test workstream will deliver a robust, best-practice test service scalable to future Mars deployments, providing governance, methodology, tooling, and quality. A new Automation Test Analyst role has been created to promote the automation vision, frameworks, and best practices to ensure high quality, efficiencies, and scalable testing across complex enterprise landscapes.

What are we looking for?
  • Have an IT background with at least 3 years of experience in ERP/SAP development, implementation, or transformation projects in a coordinating role.
  • Profound knowledge of testing management including automation test processes and standards.
  • Experience in gathering test scenarios and processes and working with key stakeholders to determine which should be automated versus those best suited for manual testing, based on risk, complexity, and business impact.
  • Excellent understanding of the S/4HANA product roadmap.
  • Be very well organized with experience in setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring, summarizing data, and communicating across stakeholder groups to establish clear ownership.
  • Attention to detail and coordination with Test Factory and external partners.
  • Team player attitude with a desire to develop new professional skills, combined with proactive, development-minded, and goal-focused work approach.
  • Excellent documentation, visualization, and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with System Integrator and Business Integrator, 3rd parties.
  • Excellent relationship-building, networking, and influencing skills with the ability to function in a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a professional manner.
Key responsibilities
  • Strategy & Governance: Contribute to the end-to-end test automation strategy aligned with the SAP S/4HANA transformation roadmap and satellite system integrations. Promote governance frameworks, standards, and policies for automation across multiple teams and vendors. Drive alignment of automation objectives with business priorities, compliance requirements, and quality standards. Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure automation supports integration testing, regression, and continuous delivery in a hybrid SAP and non-SAP environment.
  • Collaboration with Testing COE and Test Factory: Define which test scenarios should be automated versus manual testing based on risk and impact. Ensure regression testing (manual and automated) is executed through the test factory under COE guidance. Facilitate knowledge sharing and alignment between COE, test factory, and project teams to drive continuous testing improvement.
  • Framework & Tooling Strategy: Promote best practices for automation script development, maintenance, and version control within an enterprise context.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Partner with program management, process owners, and IT leadership to communicate automation strategy, progress, and risks. Facilitate workshops and governance forums to align expectations and promote a culture of quality and automation excellence. Provide strategic guidance on automation capabilities to testing teams, external vendors, and business users.
  • Risk Management & Continuous Improvement: Identify automation risks impacting timelines, quality, or compliance and work with senior leads to propose mitigations. Monitor automation KPIs and metrics to assess effectiveness and drive improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement best practices to enhance testing quality and efficiency; maintain automated test scripts for ongoing use.
  • Tools: Experience with testing tools (Tricentis, JIRA, SNOW, eCATT, SAP Solution Manager, AzureDevOps, Cloud ALM or equivalent such as HP/MF ALM) for test management.
  • Manage cross-team and stakeholder relationships to drive collaboration.
