About the Role

An exciting new role within our Property Function! We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Technician to join our team. In this role you will prioritise maintaining and repairing brand‑new equipment, applying your technical expertise to ensure outstanding performance and continuous improvement. A passion for customer service is essential, as you will understand the impact of your decisions and the efficiency of your maintenance work, operating within your training and experience to ensure a safe environment for all.

Responsibilities
  • Complete maintenance to an excellent standard, ensuring any items that need rectifying are immediately repaired or logged and scheduled for revisiting.
  • Operate with safety in mind at all times, dynamically risk‑assessing all jobs to keep yourself and colleagues safe.
  • Build effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders from all departments, supporting them wherever possible.
  • Supervise site performance to ensure we are always operating efficiently, using metrics such as availability and performance.
  • Proactively manage timekeeping, delivering the best value to the customer within working hours.
  • Document findings for major breakdowns/outages using root cause analysis methods and proven approaches.
  • Support the maintenance budget, working with a no‑waste approach and repairing or testing replaced equipment for future use.
  • Maintain the CMMS, ensuring it accurately reflects the maintenance position on site and completing shift reports to a high standard.
  • Track spares and hours accurately, contributing to the overall site budget.
Qualifications
  • Experience working hands‑on within an engineering/maintenance department on highly automated equipment.
  • Electrical and mechanical cross‑skill training.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
