Job description

Our Wallingford site is looking for an Automation Engineer to improve the performance of the site through reduced downtime and improved OEE, using continuous improvement to deliver results. Responsibilities will include:

• Own and maintain the automation and controls systems on site
• Ensure all software is documented, updated and backed up on site
• Create and own the software database and pc system, hardware
• Mentor site engineers in software changes, modifications
• Attend site breakdowns and assist engineers on complex site breakdowns
• Assist in calibration of site control systems, flow meters, sensors, temperature controllers
• Responsible for making continuous improvements to the running of the machinery.
• Running and owning control system projects including CAPEX projects
• Ensure obsolete equipment is replaced at suitable frequencies ensuring site exposure risk is mitigated
• To work and maintain good safety GMP and food manufacturing standards and codes of practice.
