Job summary

A leading public health organization in Southend-on-Sea seeks a Specialist Autism Advisory Teacher Leadership. In this hybrid role, you will provide expert advice and lead a team, ensuring inclusion for autistic learners. Qualified Teacher Status and a minimum of 3 years' experience with SEND are essential. This position offers up to £64,009 and a permanent contract with flexible working practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' experience of working as a SEND specialist.
  • Specialist experience and deep knowledge of Autism Spectrum Conditions.
  • Experience supporting schools and families with practical strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality specialist advice, modelling, and coaching.
  • Support early identification and assessment for autistic children.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a small team of support staff.

Skills

Experience of working with children and young people with SEND
Expertise in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Strong communication and coaching skills
Leadership experience

Education

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Qualified to degree standard or equivalent
