Job summary

A prominent accountancy firm in London is seeking an Audit Supervisor to lead audit engagements and supervise trainees. You will be responsible for planning and executing audits according to international standards, preparing statutory accounts, and managing client expectations. This role offers a 35-hour week, 25 days holiday, and a hybrid working model. Ideal candidates will be ACA or ACCA qualified with experience in leading audits from start to finish.

Our client is a Top 20 accountancy firm, offering a great blend between a large accountancy firm structure and a small company, family feel. Boasting clients with turnovers up to £100 million, across a variety of industry sectors including: real estate, financial services, media, sports and entertainment, and not for profit organisations.

Audit Supervisor responsibilities will include:

• Reporting to an audit manager and/or Partner and being responsible for the planning and execution of the audits in accordance with the International Auditing Standards
• Preparation and review of statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP/FRS102
• Working within budget and bringing the audits to completion
• Ensuring client expectations are managed accordingly
• Supervising audit trainees, reviewing their work, assisting with their development and dealing with their performance evaluations

As an Audit Supervisor you will be/have:

• ACA or ACCA Qualified
• Experience of leading audits from planning to completion
• Demonstrate the ability to lead staff during an audit
