Your responsibilities as an Audit Assistant Manager:
- Support the audit team by undertaking assignments, including leading on-site activities.
- Ensure all assignments follow pre-assignment instructions and are completed efficiently, thoroughly, and in line with firm procedures.
- Maintain high assurance quality, contribute to quality assurance processes, and adhere to professional standards.
- Communicate any issues or contentious matters to the assignment manager promptly, suggesting possible solutions.
- Provide training, supervision, and guidance to less experienced staff.
- Act as the primary contact for clients, demonstrating excellent client service.
- Stay informed about the firm's specialist services and publications to add value for clients.
- Review the work of junior staff for adequacy and completeness, and participate in appraisals.
- Continuously develop your technical knowledge through reading and courses, fulfilling CPD requirements.
- Keep training records up to date and stay current with examination studies if applicable.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and assist with recruitment, training, and marketing activities.
Requirements to succeed:
- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent with relevant post-qualification experience
- Strong experience with auditing software
- Ability to mentor and manage audit teams effectively
- Experience auditing OMBs is advantageous
- Experience working within an accountancy practice
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship
