Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a growing and highly respected independent accountancy firm who are looking to appoint an Audit Manager to join their expanding Audit team based in Dunfermline.

The Role

You will manage a varied audit client portfolio across sectors including Technology, Healthcare, Construction, Manufacturing and Charities, with clients ranging from owner-managed businesses to corporate and group entities.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading audits from planning through to completion with minimal support
  • Managing and coordinating audit assignments, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met
  • Working closely with Responsible Individuals and Audit Managers
  • Reviewing the work of junior staff, resolving queries and providing constructive feedback
  • Developing an understanding of clients’ businesses, industries and regulatory environments
  • Guiding audit teams in designing and performing tests to assess controls, identify weaknesses and make practical recommendations
  • Drafting and reviewing audit completion reports
  • Preparing statutory accounts and drafting corporation tax computations
  • Liaising directly with clients and building long-term relationships
  • Supporting, mentoring and developing less experienced members of the team
About You
  • ACCA / ICAS qualification (or equivalent)
  • At least 3–4 years’ audit experience, including a minimum of 1 year at supervisory level
  • Proven people management experience
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent technical knowledge and IT skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work on your own initiative
  • A proven track record of working successfully within teams
