Job description
Overview

The Audiologist will perform a range of routine diagnostic hearing tests and rehabilitative procedures. You will support the delivery of the Audiology AQP contract and ENT clinics which may include Paediatric ENT. You will be a member of a team of staff responsible for the delivery of evidence based patient care, which is of the highest standard. You will assist with monitoring and improvement of standards of care by efficient and effective use of resources. They will participate with mentoring of students and assistant practitioners. You will work independently as well as part of a team, and you will have a good understanding of current trends and developments in Audiology services. The role will be predominantly adult focused.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine diagnostic hearing tests and rehabilitation procedures.
  • Support delivery of the Audiology AQP contract and ENT clinics, including Paediatric ENT.
  • Deliver evidence‑based patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Monitor and improve standards of care through efficient utilisation of resources.
  • Mentor students and assistant practitioners.
Qualifications / Key Skills
  • Demonstrated caring and compassionate nature with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a busy and varied workload in a timely manner and apply a flexible approach to day‑to‑day tasks.
  • Current understanding of trends and developments in Audiology services.
  • Band 5 Band, with experience in adult audiology preferred.

Location & Hours

Salford Audiology Service, multi‑site across Acute, Community and Educational settings. Permanent contract, 8:30am – 5:15pm over 4.5 days per week.
