Job description

Overview

You will provide a full range of diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology to adults and school-aged children, on the acute hospital site and at peripheral clinics, without supervision. You will be based at Broomfield Hospital, with travel to other sites as required. We are a friendly team that supports you in a busy but collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology to adults and children.
• Plan and carry out rehabilitation care for older children and adults, using hearing aid technology.
• Direct referral assessment and fitting of a wide range of hearing aids (Oticon, Siemens, Phonak, Danalogic, etc.).
• Paediatric hearing assessment.
• Hearing aid repair and reassessment, including advice on suitable alternative treatment programmes.
• Provision of first-line hearing therapy support.
• Carry out specialised technical procedures such as paediatric testing or balance assessment using complex diagnostic equipment.
