Are you an experienced Typist?

A great opportunity has arisen for a Typist to join our dynamic and highly functioning Support Team in Cellular Pathology. The post will be based in the Pathology Department at Hull Royal Infirmary.

Please note: Interviews for this position will be held in person ONLY at the hospital site. Remote interviews will not be available.

Main duties of the job

The main duties will include typing correspondence from service users in a timely way to ensure referral to treatment and cancer pathway targets are met, sorting the incoming and outgoing Cellular Pathology reports.

Primarily working with the team of Cellular Pathology Consultants and Cellular Pathology Laboratory Team, the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and typist experience. A sound knowledge of medical vocabulary would be an advantage, and essentially applicants will be proficient at both copy and audio-typing and have a working experience of digital dictation.

The applicant will be expected to have a flexible approach to work, be well organised with the ability to prioritise, to work well under pressure and must be able to work effectively as a team member with a willingness to learn.
