Attendance, Progress and Academic Skills Coach Salary £27,185 Pro Rata, Per Annum (pay award pending) Term time - 35hrs pw

The Role

We are looking to appoint an individual with the skills, knowledge and experience to champion and support the most disadvantaged students by ensuring that all barriers to academic progress are removed.

The role requires you to act, where necessary, in the role of a mentor in terms of supporting high engagement with all elements of the Study Programme and a positive attitude to learning.

The role complements the work undertaken by other cross-college support teams and will require a high level of communication particularly with the Tutor team and the Learning Support and Student Engagement Team.

This role is ideal for anyone who has the desire to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our most disadvantaged young people by ensuring that each has a comprehensive and individualised package of support.

What we are looking for

You should have a good standard of general education including a level 2 qualification English and maths (or equivalent) and experience of, or an aspiration towards working with young people (). You will need the flexibility, enthusiasm and the ability to relate well to staff and students and the ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with young people.
