The primary location of this position is in Asheville, NC and will include travel to multiple locations in Western North Carolina. The College of Engineering and Technology (CET) at Western Carolina University (WCU) is growing! This Asheville-based position will require teaching in the evenings using face-to-face, hybrid, and online modalities. Service duties will require travel within Western NC and may extend beyond the region. Anticipated begin date is August 2025. Successful candidates will be committed to teaching at the undergraduate level in one or more of the following areas: Computer-aided Design (CAD) Computer-aided Manufacturing (CAM) Computer Numeric Control (CNC) Programmable Logic Controller (PLCs) Robotics, Automation, and Controls Safety Hydraulics and Pneumatics There may be additional opportunities to teach at the graduate level. Faculty in the Professor of Practice position will demonstrate excellence in teaching and service. Responsibilities include supporting the program director of the distance program with tasks such as assessment, capstone projects, recruitment, program development and expansion, and other duties assigned by the school director.
