Overview

My client, a market leading, innovative Environmental Consultancy based, is searching for an Associate Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to manage and grow a Water Team based in London. Hybrid working is available.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a new team based in London; manage projects, mentor and train team members, and develop new business opportunities.
  • Check, complete and amend technical work spanning flood risk, drainage, hydraulic modelling, nutrient neutrality, flood alleviation and river restoration schemes across the UK.
  • Oversee projects spanning the following areas: Flood Risk Assessments; Flood Alleviation Schemes; River Restoration and Natural Habitat Management; Pollution Incidents and Nutrient Neutrality; Drainage Strategies and designs; Hydrological and Hydraulic Modelling; Bid Proposals and Tenders; Natural Flood Management and Renewable Energy Projects.
  • Promote company services and contribute to bid proposals, tenders, and client engagement as part of business development.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Strong academic background in a relevant discipline; achieving Chartered status or close to attainment is essential.
  • Extensive experience working for a UK-based Consultancy specialising in flood risk, hydrology, hydraulic modelling, flood alleviation, drainage or river engineering.
  • Drive and determination to develop new business opportunities with the support of the team; experience managing projects and mentoring team members.
