A leading educational trust in the UK is seeking enthusiastic Associate Teachers for an Apprenticeship Pathway in Mathematics, Science, and Computing. Successful candidates will teach secondary students while completing a fully funded Level 6 Apprenticeship Course aimed at gaining Qualified Teacher Status within 12 months. The role involves lesson planning, student assessment, and collaboration with peers to support the overall success of the Academy. A strong commitment to educational development is essential for this fixed-term position, attracting an actual salary of £22,600.
The Alpha Academies Trust (AAT) is looking to recruit enthusiastic Associate Teachers to join our strong team of highly motivated professionals who work collaboratively to raise standards and expectations at all levels throughout Key Stages 3 and 4. The positions will be based at one of our Secondary schools, The Discovery Academy or The Excel Academy.
This is an Apprenticeship Pathway to gain Qualified Teacher Status. You will be placed on the Staffordshire University Apprenticeship Teacher programme, which is fully funded by Alpha Academies Trust. During the programme you will complete a Level 6 Apprenticeship Course and gain Qualified Teacher Status within 12 months. This pathway offers a combination of on‑the‑job training and academic learning. Where possible, we will strive to support the transition from an apprenticeship to a permanent teaching role, provided the curriculum and financial framework make this feasible.
You will be responsible for teaching mathematics, science and computing to Key Stages 3 and 4 students. Your role will involve lesson planning, delivering engaging and differentiated lessons, assessing student progress and providing timely feedback. You will collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement cross‑curricular projects and support the overall success of the Academy.
Essential for the post is the ability to converse at ease with members of the public, including staff and students in accurate spoken English. You must fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence through the medium of English. A foundation in mathematics, science and computing literacy is expected, as well as a commitment to developing teaching practice within an apprenticeship framework.
