Job summary

A national sporting organization in Manchester is seeking a Finance Officer to support financial operations. Responsibilities include managing budget reporting, meeting with budget holders, and assisting with training. Qualifications

  • Significant experience in a similar finance position.
  • Proven accuracy in data entry onto accounting systems.
  • AAT qualification is preferable.
  • Good general education including GCSE in English and Maths.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Finance Business Partner and provide cover as needed.
  • Manage reporting for budget holders and financial performance.
  • Meet budget holders to discuss financial outcomes.
  • Provide support and training for budget holders.

What will you be doing?
  • Support the Finance Business Partner and deputise for them as required.
  • Manage budget holder and management reporting using systems and automating as far as possible.
  • Meet budget holders to discuss financial performance and track profitability.
  • Support and train budget holders as required.
  • Any other duties required.
What we're looking for:
  • Significant experience working in a similar position.
  • Accurate data entry onto an accounting system.
  • Ideally AAT qualified.
  • Good level of general education with a minimum of GCSE English and Maths at or above Grade C, or equivalent or compensatory work experience.
