We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic property professional to become our Associate Director of Estates . This is a new senior leadership position that is essential to provide strong strategic direction for a large and complex estate and ensure the University can deliver its long-term growth and transformation plans aligned with our University Strategy 2035. You will be crucial in maximising value, managing risk, and overseeing the multi-million-pound capital programmes that will define the future of our campus.

The Role
  • Provide senior leadership, assisting the Director of Estates and Facilities.
  • Be responsible for the strategic planning, development, and optimisation of the University’s built estate .
  • Lead the Estates Masterplan and deliver major capital projects.
  • Ensure statutory and building safety compliance.
  • Oversee critical functions, including asset management and space utilisation .
  • Maximise financial and strategic value from the University’s land and property portfolio.
  • Strengthen organisational capacity to manage estate risks and maintain safe, compliant, and sustainable facilities.
