Assistant Wellbeing & Fitness Manager
Champneys Henlow

Contract: Full Time
Salary: £28,000.00 per year plus incentive scheme

As the Assistant Wellbeing and Fitness Manager, you will play a key role within the Champneys family and will be responsible for assisting the manager in the day to day running of the fitness department and the club facilities with a personal interest in all club members and residential guests.

Some duties and responsibilities include;

  • You will be a visible presence on the shop floor, carrying out classes, personal training sessions and educational talks as set by the Fitness Manager.
  • You will maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for the enjoyment and welfare of guests and members in accordance with the Company’s health and safety policy and current legislation.
  • Assist in designing the goals and objectives by implementing the necessary policies and procedures and communicate it to the staff members.
  • Review the staffing requirement with the manager and promptly hire fitness trainers and provide them with the necessary training.
  • Communicate with the clients constantly and understand their needs so that new programs can be designed to improve it.
  • Implement promotional club campaigns, sales initiatives and conduct personal training sessions that would be able to attract more clients, thus increasing the overall sales of the facility.

As the Assistant Wellbeing and Fitness Manager, you will have significant previous leadership experience in a role in the fitness and wellbeing industry, providing high quality customer service. You will have an equivalent of a REPS 3 gym instructor qualification plus a minimum of one of the following: Group Exercise related qualification, Personal Training Award or Sports/Fitness related Degree.
