We’re looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Technical Officer to join our team as a Reception Co-ordinator in our busy, fast-paced Inpatient Dispensary.

In this vital front-facing role, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff — providing exceptional customer service at the reception hatch and ensuring the smooth, efficient running of our dispensary, which supports all inpatient wards across the Trust.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver excellent customer service coordinating the arrival and collection of work through the Inpatient Dispensary Reception area.
  • Manage all administrative duties, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Receive and process prescriptions, including handling prescription charges for Out-Patient prescriptions and Controlled Drug order books.
  • Handle telephone queries for the Inpatient Dispensary in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assist with stock management activities, including ordering, checking deliveries, and ensuring proper storage of all items (including refrigerated, frozen, and non-robotic stock).
  • Contribute to the timely loading of stock into the dispensary robot, maintaining accuracy and efficiency at all times.
