Assistant Social Value Manager
We are looking to employ a full-time Assistant Social Value Manager to work on Oxford & London construction projects. The successful candidate will work in the Social Value team, shaping and delivering client facing social value activities. Other responsibilities will include social value programme design and delivery as well as executing resident liaison, community investment activities and S106 targets.
Social Value Management
- Support the design of social value programmes and activities
- Identify opportunities to enhance social value and advise accordingly
- Assist clients to maximise social value through procurement processes
- Identify social value KPI's and processes to monitor delivery
- Support non-financial reporting of social value
- Set targets, measure and report the social value created through the course of a construction project
- Ensure a coordinated approach to ensure S106 contractual obligations are formally issued to our supply chain in tenders and contracts
- Contribute towards the quality standards guiding the Engage process
- Any other ad hoc social value duties as required
Social Value Delivery
- Coordinate the delivery of social value on projects
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach
- Plan and manage meetings with local communities and stakeholders when required (some meetings may require out of hours attendance)
- Deal with queries and issues in a professional manner and effectively deal with conflict as and when required
- Engage with schools / colleges for site visits, work experience in line with Mace's strategic objectives
- Provide Information, Advice & Guidance, CV Development, Training Needs Analysis, and construction industry context
Social Value Monitoring and Reporting
- Create reports that meet identified project requirements
- Create reports for construction clients, project directors including economic valuation of social value outcomes
- Manage the S106 monthly monitoring and reporting requirements for projects and submit to the relevant council and client where necessary
- Identify and produce case studies to assist with communicating best practice
- Creative thinker able to proactively answer questions and identify solutions
