Assistant Quantity Surveyor – West Scotland

A main contractor in the west of Scotland is recruiting Assistant Quantity Surveyors to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of public building projects. You will work as part of an established commercial team, gaining hands‑on responsibility across all stages of the project lifecycle.

They seek individuals with a drive to succeed and in return will provide the opportunity to develop your skills working within a high‑performing but supportive team.

Key aspects of the role
  • Assisting with measurement of works, preparation of valuations and management of subcontract accounts.
  • Supporting cost reporting, forecasting and cashflow, ensuring accurate financial information for the project team.
  • Helping with procurement, including issuing enquiries, compiling comparisons and preparing subcontract orders.
  • Contributing to the administration of contracts, variations and final accounts, working closely with site and design colleagues.
Qualifications

You should be studying towards or hold a Quantity Surveying (or related) qualification, or have equivalent experience. The role suits someone numerate, organised and keen to learn, with the confidence to communicate with colleagues, clients and the supply chain.
