A leading house builder is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Liverpool. You will assist the commercial team in managing costs for residential development schemes. The role requires HNC/Degree qualifications and a minimum of 2 years experience. A salary of up to £38,000 plus benefits is offered.

Overview

Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Salary: Up to £38,000 + £4,500 Car Allowance. A leading house builder is looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Liverpool. The successful candidate will assist the commercial team in the delivery of residential development schemes.


Responsibilities


  • Assist the surveying department with cost management from procurement to final accounts.

  • Compile tender packages for all sub-contract trades.

  • Issue sub-contract orders in line with budgets and programme requirements.

  • Liaise with the build department on subcontractor performance.

  • Control and report on post-contract cost movements.

  • Process invoices and applications for payment.


Ideal Candidate


  • HNC/Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying/Construction Management or equivalent.

  • 2 years experience as a trainee minimum.

  • Good understanding of building regulations and legal obligations.

  • Knowledge of construction methods and materials.

  • Strong mathematical, IT, and Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Ability to assess and analyse information.

  • Good business sense and understanding of budget management.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
