Overview

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated band 4 Assistant Psychologist to join our Dorset All Age Eating Disorder Service (DAEDS) Community Team, based at Spring Court, Kings Park Hospital. DAEDS offers treatment to people of all ages from across Dorset (including Bournemouth and Poole) with moderate to severe eating disorders registered with GP practices within Dorset. This service is designed to help individuals, and their families/carers, overcome a range of different eating disorders.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional psychological care, including assessment and interventions under the supervision of a qualified psychologist;
  • Work independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified psychologist and within the overall framework of the Team's policies and procedures;
  • Assist in clinically‑related administration, conducting audits, collecting data and statistics, and developing audit and/or research projects;
  • Teach and contribute to project work.

The Assistant Psychologist post is a fixed‑term contract based at Spring Court, Kings Park Hospital, Bournemouth. DAEDS has an additional site at Trinity Court, Trinity Street Dorchester so flexibility to travel between community bases would be ideal.

This is a fixed‑term role and for those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on a secondment before submitting an application.
