Job description

At Encore, we’re here to make residential property management feel personal, thoughtful, and seamless. Since we opened our doors in 2004, our mission has been simple: to deliver an outstanding experience for every customer, with genuine care at the heart of everything we do. We don’t just look after buildings, we look after the people who call them home, treating each property as if it were our own.

Our culture not only attracts the brightest talent, but also industry recognition as we have been awarded Employer of the Year on many occasions. Our ambition is to be regarded as the most professional managing agent in the country – with a team of exceptional people who are energized by what they do. We are all about communication, collaboration, teamwork – and having fun while we work. By creating an inviting environment for our people to be inspired, learn and flourish can make all the difference.

The Role

As an Assistant Property Manager, you will be a key member of our Estate Management team, helping to ensure that our communities are well-maintained, and efficiently run. You will support day-to-day operations by engaging with residents, coordinating maintenance and repair efforts, and maintaining accurate records and systems. Your role will contribute directly to creating a positive experience for our clients.

This role comes with fantastic career growth opportunities, including the chance to step into a Property Manager position within our team in just 12 to 18 months.

What You’ll Be Doing

Customer Service – Be the first point of contact for residents, handling queries, resolving issues, and keeping communication clear, friendly, and professional.

Data Management – Keep our property management system (Qube) fully up-to-date, ensuring all information is accurate and organised.

Maintenance Coordinator – When something needs fixing, you’re the one to make it happen. Liaise with contractors, manage works orders, and ensure everything is done on time and to a high standard.

Health & Safety – Ensure all health & safety legislation and company policies are strictly followed, keeping our estates safe and compliant.

Financial – Help manage budgets, issue purchase orders, and assist with financial reporting to ensure costs stay under control.

About You
  • You’re passionate about delivering excellent customer service and enjoy building relationships with residents and clients.
  • You’re a natural multitasker, able to manage your time and juggle tasks efficiently.
  • You’ve got experience with systems like databases (Qube knowledge is a bonus) and are confident using Microsoft Office.
  • You communicate clearly and professionally—whether over the phone, in writing, or face-to-face.
  • You’ve got experience working with contractors and managing reactive maintenance (if not, you’re ready to learn fast!).
What You’ll Bring
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset – you approach challenges with optimism and a focus on finding effective resolutions.
  • Strong attention to detail – you consistently deliver high-quality work.
  • A collaborative spirit – you thrive in a team environment and take pride in contributing to shared goals.
Qualifications & Experience
  • A good standard of education is essential.
  • Strong focus on customer service.
  • Property qualifications (e.g., IRPM Part 1) would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Previous experience in customer service role.
Why Work with Us?
  • Great Team Environment: You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team that works hard and has fun along the way.
  • Growth Opportunities: We believe in helping our people grow. With extensive training and development, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to advance your career.
  • Competitive Salary & Perks: We offer a competitive salary, benefits, and a positive workplace culture where your contributions are valued.

At Encore, we pride ourselves on delivering outstanding service and managing valuable residential estates with expertise and care. This is your opportunity to grow into a leadership role while making a real impact in the lives of our clients.

Encore operates a hybrid working model, for this role the requirement is 4 days in the office and 1 day at home.

The salary for this role is £26,500 per annum.
