A leading project management firm is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join its Infrastructure team in Birmingham or Nottingham. The successful candidate will assist in various tasks related to major Infrastructure projects, including monitoring progress and liaising with stakeholders. Degree education and relevant experience are required. The role offers a dynamic environment focused on client delivery.

  • Assist the Project Manager on various tasks.
  • Conduct background research and data collection.
  • Establish effective processes and systems.
  • Produce project plans.
  • Monitor project progress and performance indicators.
  • Track and document changes.
  • Prepare written communication materials.
  • Prepare formal project reports.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and designers.
  • Attend meetings and draft minutes.

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to join our Infrastructure team in either Birmingham or Nottingham. Owing to the nature of the projects, the role will suit someone with experience of working on rail, highways, utilities or aviation projects.

Duties will include:

  • Assisting the Project Manager on a range of tasks, to include:
  • Conducting background research, data collection and benchmarking
  • Establishing effective processes and systems to be utilised throughout the project
  • Producing project plans
  • Monitoring and documenting project progress and other performance indicators
  • Tracking and documenting changes
  • Preparing written project communication materials
  • Preparing formal project progress and other reports
  • Liaising with the client, contractors and designers
  • Attending meetings and drafting minutes, etc
  • Reporting

  • Experience of working on major Infrastructure projects
