Assistant Project Manager

Manchester | Permanent | Up to £33,000 plus benefits

Dawson Jones Recruitment is supporting a client with the appointment of an Assistant Project Manager on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their project management career to develop within a professional environment, working alongside experienced colleagues on a portfolio of projects within healthcare and education.

You will support the delivery of projects from early stages through to completion, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting programme and project delivery across multiple projects
  • Assisting with project reporting, dashboards and progress updates
  • Coordinating meetings, actions and stakeholder communication
  • Supporting contract administration and project documentation
  • Assisting with risk, issue and change management
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to support effective delivery

You will ideally demonstrate:

  • Experience supporting projects through reporting, coordination and administrative activities
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A professional, proactive and collaborative approach
  • Confidence managing multiple stakeholders
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and digital tools
  • Project management qualifications (APM, PRINCE2 or working towards) are welcomed but not essential.
