Job summary

A construction management firm in Brighton is looking for a Project Assistant to support the planning, execution, and delivery of various projects. You will assist project managers, coordinate resources, and manage project schedules. The ideal candidate should have some project management experience, preferably within construction or engineering, and possess strong communication and organizational skills. Role Overview

The assistant will work with the Project Manager for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects. This role requires strong organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to assist other team members, subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and managing project plans and schedules
  • Undertake estimating of new projects
  • Coordinate resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment
  • Support the preparation of technical documentation and reports
  • Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to deadlines and budgets
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
  • Identify and mitigate potential project risks
  • Assist in quality control and assurance processes
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting when necessary
  • Predominantly office based, with intermittent visits to sites
Person Specification
Qualifications & Experience
  • Ideally some experience in project management within construction, fabrication, engineering, or contracting
  • HNC/HND/Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience working with fabrication, steel structures, or mechanical installations (advantageous)
  • AutoCAD experience a distinct advantage
