Overview

This role is perfect for individuals who are enthusiastic about radio production, music, football and creating compelling content. As a casual AP/Weekend Producer at Virgin Radio, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with show preparation, managing on-air content, and ensuring smooth operations during weekend broadcasts.

Responsibilities

Day to day you will:

  • Operate studio equipment and manage audio levels during live broadcasts to ensure high-quality sound.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of weekend radio shows, including guest coordination, and scriptwriting.
  • Collaborate with presenters and other team members to develop engaging content and segments.
  • Monitor news, entertainment and sport developments to incorporate timely and relevant content into shows.
  • Coordinate with technical staff to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during broadcasts and ensure seamless on-air operations.
  • Contribute creative ideas and innovative approaches to enhance the overall quality of our programming.
Qualifications
  • A keen interest in all things music, football and entertainment
  • Technical skills in and outside of the studio
  • Experience of broadcasting software including Zetta and Burli
  • Experience of editing in Adobe Audition
  • The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced live broadcasting environment
  • A can-do attitude and willingness to learn quickly
