Job summary

A leading sporting goods company seeks an experienced Facility Manager to oversee the management of services across various sites in Stockport and Trafford Park. The role requires strong budgeting skills, familiarity with sustainability initiatives, and excellent interpersonal abilities. As a key contact for store teams, you will ensure smooth operation of maintenance and cleaning services. Responsibilities
  • Support the day‑to‑day management of Facility Management services across a portfolio of busy retail stores, our Stockport Head Office and Trafford Park Distribution Centre
  • Act as a key contact for store teams, ensuring maintenance, cleaning and waste management service delivery run smoothly and within budget
  • Lead on sustainability initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint with a sound working knowledge of ISO accreditations
  • Support with managing our company car fleet, ensuring it operates efficiently, safely, and sustainably
  • Work closely with and manage supply partners to deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective services
  • Assist with asset management, planned maintenance scheduling, and Health & Safety compliance across all sites
  • Contribute ideas and solutions to continuously improve our Facility Management operations.

  • Budget and cost control experience
  • Excellent Interpersonal relationship building
  • Solid hard and soft service Facility Management knowledge and experience, including contractor management: ideally from retail or multi‑site environments
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in sustainability, energy efficiency and environmental management initiatives including ISO accreditations
  • A confident, friendly and professional communicator who enjoys working with people at all levels
  • Highly organised, responsive, and able to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
  • A problem‑solver with a can‑do attitude and strong attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
