Description

Keoghs, the Legal Solutions Division of the Davies Group, are looking to hire an Assistant Management Accountant to support the Financial Reporting Manager. This would suite a part qualified accountant that has gained some experience of the month end process and want to develop this knowledge further. This role is the perfect opportunity for an ambitious individual to work alongside a friendly and supportive team. Ideally the candidate would be part qualified or AAT level 4 qualified.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of month end accounts, including prepayments and accruals.
  • Group accounting - Reconciliation of Intercompany transactions, posting and analysing group costs
  • Attending regular meetings with budget holders.
  • Assisting in a suite of reports up to group within agreed timescales.
  • Assisting in the annual budget process and regular forecasts
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Monthly ONS reporting
  • Being a point of contact for the annual audit ensuring required information is provided and explained to the auditors.
  • Updating of cash forecasting model - bi-weekly updating of the cash actuals into the monthly cash forecast for review by the Management Accountant.
  • Ad hoc duties to support the team
Working Hours

35 hours per week – Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch.

Will be required to be available to attend the Bolton Office.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • IT literate, with strong Excel skills
  • To take an active role in the finance department and display excellent team working skills
  • Good communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior non-financial colleagues
  • Good analytical skills
  • We are looking for a well-motivated self-starter, who will retain ownership and a willingness to learn.
  • A willingness to maintain flexibility on responsibilities is essential
  • Time management skills and the ability to prioritise are essential
