Costello is a Good school with Outstanding features – Ofsted, Nov 2021

We’re here to educate, but more important than that is to have happy and safe young people who can flourish. Our Pastoral provision is first class and it is one of the main reasons parents choose to trust us with their children. We hope that you share the same vision for education and would like to join us to complement a team of brilliant individuals.

Our Ofsted inspection judged us as Good with Outstanding features, and said that “Leaders, teachers and support staff work together as a tight-knit team to meet these pupils’ pastoral and academic needs very well. Good relationships between staff and pupils ensure typically calm, respectful behaviour across the school. Pupils enjoy school and feel happy and proud to be here.”

The successful candidate will provide effective pastoral care and support to a year group within our Pastoral Team to promote the well-being, personal development and academic progress of students within the year groups. As well as having excellent administrative and organizational skills you will be working closely with the students, promoting high standards of behaviour, and liaising with parents and external agencies. You will therefore need to be confident, proactive and have the aptitude to work independently and as part of a team.
