Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience as a Duty Manager, Assistant Manager or similar.
  • Proactive, 'can-do' attitude with great attention to detail.
  • Experience with sales, marketing or P&L is desirable.

The Role

As Assistant General Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our operation – helping to shape an incredible experience for guests and supporting our team to perform at their very best. You’ll get stuck into every part of venue life while driving performance, safety and commercial success.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Delivering exceptional customer service across all areas of the venue
  • Leading, motivating and developing your team – rotas, coaching, reviews & more
  • Managing recruitment, onboarding and training to build a high‑performing crew
  • Overseeing food & beverage operations with top‑tier hygiene compliance
  • Championing health & safety and ensuring best practice at all times
  • Driving revenue and upselling through smart commercial decisions
  • Reporting KPIs, analysing performance and identifying improvements
  • Managing suppliers, catering, merchandise and purchasing within budget
  • Coordinating maintenance, checks and contractor support

Who We’re Looking For

You're a confident, people-focused leader who thrives in fast‑paced leisure, hospitality or customer‑facing environments. You love creating amazing guest experiences and building positive, motivated teams. You’ll bring:

  • 2+ years’ experience as a Duty Manager, Assistant Manager or similar
  • Strong operational and team leadership skills
  • Excellent communication, organisation and problem‑solving abilities
  • A proactive, “can‑do” attitude with great attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and make confident decisions
  • Experience with sales, marketing or P&L (desirable)
  • First Aid (preferred/required as applicable)
