Assistant Facilities Manager

Location: Milton Keynes - Within 30 mins of office

Salary: Circa £30,000 per annum

Are you ready to take the next step in your facilities management career? We’re seeking a proactive Assistant Facilities Manager to support the delivery of best-in-class FM services across a diverse commercial property portfolio — including multi‑tenanted industrial, office, and neighbourhood retail schemes.

Reporting directly to the Head of Facilities Management, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations, building strong tenant relationships, and maintaining compliance across multiple client sites.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist in overseeing FM services across varied client portfolios
  • Support contractor management and supplier procurement
  • Administer Health & Safety and Contractor Registration Scheme systems
  • Conduct regular site and vacant unit inspections with detailed reporting
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation
  • Build and maintain strong tenant relationships
  • Instruct contractors on planned and ad‑hoc maintenance work
  • Assist with service charge budgets, annual expenditure, and reconciliations
  • Support utility procurement, approve supplier invoices, and manage tenant recharges
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum one year’s experience in commercial facilities management
  • Strong knowledge of FM principles and health & safety compliance
  • Ability to work independently and proactively
  • Relationship‑builder with suppliers and tenants alike
  • Willingness to travel to sites across the UK (typically within 2.5 hours)
