A healthcare provider in Stockport is seeking a leader to manage the operational delivery and performance of the central booking team within its outpatient services. The role demands experience in NHS services, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to foster a collaborative environment. Successful candidates will have a master's degree or equivalent experience and a proven record of enhancing service delivery and patient experiences. The role will be responsible for leading and managing the operational delivery and performance management of the central booking team within the outpatient and patient access service. This role will be key to the delivery of outpatient services across the Trust to ensure an efficient, productive and effective service.
There will be a need to initiate and nurture innovation of ideas whilst supporting the team to achieve their objectives using established policies and processes to maximise service delivery in both productivity and patient experience whilst developing relationships with both divisional and clinical teams.
The postholder will need to motivate staff and encourage collaborative working in improving service and administration pathways and ensure improving patient experience is at the fore throughout, while providing support to staff during any workforce or process changes that may be needed, including overcoming any resistance to change.
The role will provide leadership to the central booking team service and will also be responsible for its planning and the quality of its service delivery. This will include robust training and development of the team that includes ensuring there is knowledge of local referral management and appointment booking best practice standards, national access targets, RTT compliance and other appropriate national policy. The post holder will lead service improvement work to ensure efficient, effective and productive patient access to its services. The role will also be responsible for ensuring the service is person-centred, responsive and flexible. There will be a requirement to work closely with key stakeholders, including specialty teams, clinicians and support services. The role will also deputise for the Associate Director of Patient Access and provide cross cover for their Assistant Directorate Manager colleague as required.

If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £26.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary
In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £16.
