Our client is seeking an ambitious Assistant Buyer to work in a busy open plan office in Bicester. Working in a small team you will be using excellent communication skills.

The hours of work will be 08:30-17:00 Monday to Friday, based in the office in Bicester.

Offering £25,000-£33,000.

As an Assistant Buyer your duties will include:
  • Liaising with suppliers to negotiate pricing, building a professional and business beneficial relationship at all times
  • Support the delivery of the sales presentation to external sales team
  • Assist in product sourcing in line with business requirements for seasonal trends
  • Assist with product ordering, timeline management, pipeline stock monitoring, liaising with suppliers throughout to ensure deadlines are met
  • Analyse buying trends using customer purchases and use this to support the development of ranges.
  • Working with multiple internal departments towards a common goal of business efficiency and customer satisfaction
You must:
  • Be a confident user of Excel
  • Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills with strong attention to detail
  • Understand the need to work to tight timelines and deadlines, be able to think on your feet and demonstrate excellent problem solving
  • Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence

This is an excellent role, within a well-established international business who is a leader in their chosen industry. Full training will be provided and for the right candidate they may consider someone with a strong administration background as opposed to buying. You will be part of a small team within a larger infrastructure, in a relaxed and open plan environment.
