The role

Crown Estate Scotland has an exciting opportunity for a Development Manager (Transmission) to join our Marine Energy & Infrastructure team on a full-time 18 months fixed-term basis.

This role will:

  • Manage development phase and enabling activities for offshore data and energy transmission infrastructure such as subsea telecoms cables, high voltage electricity cables and interconnectors.
  • Manage applicant and tenant relationships, the development of property agreements and management of Option Agreements.
  • Establish and maintain an understanding of the various offshore cables market (data and energy) including development of the transmission network to support the delivery of offshore wind in Scotland, current and future dynamics, identifying influencing factors, and developing key opportunities for Crown Estate Scotland.
  • Represent Crown Estate Scotland on groups (incepting / leading groups as required) to maximise Crown Estate Scotland’s contribution to the development and maturity of the transmission aspects of data and offshore energy markets in Scotland such as consenting, policy, and practical delivery challenges.
  • Coordinate with industry to identify and deliver studies to promote understanding and solutions for issues facing Crown Estate Scotland offshore wind interests.
