Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy, hardworking and friendly Awards and Assessment team, within the Academic Registry. The team play an important role in ensuring the effective organisation and delivery of assessment processes across the University.

You will be responsible for delivering high standards of assessment operations to all stakeholders, ensuring that the student journey is supported at all stages. Working closely with the Assessment and Awards Manager, you will assist with providing administrative support for Examination Boards, chasing, entering and checking all assessment marks, updating the student records system (SITS) and informing students of results by strict deadlines. You will also assist with the collection of assessment information, examination papers and coursework briefs, reviewing submission deadline schedules and setting up coursework submission links on our VLE (Blackboard). The role also involves providing confidential administrative support for the Exceptional Circumstances process, including providing advice to students.

You will need to enjoy working under pressure, in a busy environment, whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy. The ability to efficiently organise your workload, with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines is essential. Excellent communication skills are also required, along with integrity when handling confidential information. Experience of working within a similar administrative related role and/or a role with a strong customer focus is essential.
