We are now looking urgently for a Production / Assembly Operative to join the very busy production team.
Working Hours and Pay
Monday-Friday 8am start – 39 hours per week, early finish Fridays.
Hourly rate is £12.77 – 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am-5pm with an early finish Fridays (1pm
Role Details
We are looking for an Assembly Operative to join our tambour door production team.
Responsibilities
- Working on the assembly line and producing our products based on specific measurements, calculations, drawings or instructions under the supervision of a Level 2 Assembly Operative or Supervisor;
- Packing boxes, loading and unloading materials and finished goods and adhering to safety protocols;
- Inspecting assembled products for any faults or defects;
- Reporting incidents, faulty operations, or product imperfections on the assembly line to Supervisor / Production & Site Manager;
- Following established safety and efficiency procedures to ensure that operations run smoothly.
Profile/Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role;
- Able to work individually and as part of a team;
- Attentive to detail and takes pride in work;
- The ability to understand and receive instructions;
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment;
- The ability to lift heavy pieces of equipment (within safety guidelines);
- Ability to work on one’s own initiative;
- Good knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and regulations;
- A forklift licence would be an advantage, but not essential;
- A solid understanding of production machinery and proper assembly procedures would be an advantage, but not essential;
- An ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics would be an advantage, but not essential.
