Job summary

A global packaging manufacturer is seeking an Engineer based in Birmingham. This role involves maintaining and recovering narrow aisle cranes and their associated conveyor systems. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in an ASRS and FMCG environment, holding a relevant qualification in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering. Strong electrical and mechanical skills are essential, along with excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities. This position requires effective collaboration to deliver high service levels and timely maintenance solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in ASRS and FMCG environment in electrical and mechanical work.
• Indentured apprenticeship history preferred.
• Mechanically biased with electrical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, servicing and overhauling of Highbay cranes.
• Manage electrical repairs and installations.
• Work closely with warehouse supervisors to ensure service level agreements.
