Job summary

A leading swimming instruction provider is seeking a Trainee Swimming Instructor to support qualified instructors in delivering swimming lessons. The role requires helping children and adults develop water confidence and swimming skills while obtaining a formal teaching qualification. Responsibilities include supervising participants, maintaining safety standards, and providing excellent customer service. Qualifications

• Confident and comfortable in and around water.
• Willingness to learn and complete the full training programme.
• Basic knowledge of swimming techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support qualified swimming instructors in delivering swimming lessons.
• Supervise and assist participants in the pool.
• Help maintain a safe and inclusive environment.
• Monitor swimmers' progress and assist with skill assessments.
• Prepare and tidy away equipment for lessons.
• Provide excellent customer service.

Skills

Confident and comfortable in and around water

Able to follow instructions

Willingness to learn

Ability to work as part of a team

Previous experience working with children

Basic knowledge of swimming techniques

Valid First Aid or Safeguarding qualification
