Job description
Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team in delivering high-quality pharmacy services to patients. This role is based in the Pharmacy Department at Forth Valley Royal Hospital and offers the opportunity to work across a variety of areas, including Cancer outpatient clinics, Inpatient wards and the Aseptic Unit. We are seeking someone who is organised, able to work to deadlines, and enjoys interacting with both the public and healthcare professionals. The post offers a rotation through the dispensary and the pharmacy aseptic (sterile) unit, providing essential support to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

  • Dispensing chemotherapy and medicines for side-effect management

  • Assembly and transfer of products for aseptic manufacture
  • Administrative tasks
Qualifications
  • Previous pharmacy experience is essential. We are looking for candidates who hold a dispensing assistant S/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
  • The duties of this post require the successful candidate to complete a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check.
Additional information
  • The pharmacy department provides a 7 day service and these posts will include the requirement to work occasional weekends and public holidays on a rota with other staff.
