Job description

Pink Tile Education is supporting a secondary school in Brighton in recruiting an ASDAN Cover Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to work with students following the ASDAN curriculum, providing cover teaching across a variety of subjects and ensuring continuity of learning.

The successful candidate will be flexible, organised, and able to deliver engaging lessons to meet the needs of all students. This is a key role in supporting both students and staff while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver ASDAN curriculum lessons in line with planning and schemes of work
  • Ensure continuity of learning during staff absence
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and in line with school policy
  • Support students’ personal and social development as part of the ASDAN programme
  • Record and monitor student progress, providing feedback where appropriate
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Adapt lessons to meet the diverse needs of learners
The Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified teacher (QTS) or equivalent experience in a secondary school setting
  • Experience delivering ASDAN programmes or similar accredited courses is highly desirable
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to work across different year groups and subjects
  • Committed to promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment
